97 Days and Counting...

Each Summer Celebration brings a batch of new songs for us to learn together.  You can get a head start by learning the Phil Joel song "The 'Love' Song".  Phil Joel's cd is entitled Deliberate Kids.  It's a must buy for any kiddo (or teen, or parent for that matter).

You can listen to clips of these songs (or buy) at http://www.deliberatepeople.com

FYI: This album will soon be available in the CLC Bookstore.

Phil Joel is on the Newsboys, who wrote shine, which is the theme for our camp, which is the reason Mr. B had to get this CD, which is why he can't afford to PAY US! Isn't that NEAT! I KNEW there was a connection SOMEWHERE(Just kidding. I'm so glad we teens get an opportunity to serve God for nothing at all. Thanks Mr. B for giving us an opportunity to serve these kids and bring them the Gospel, while having fun with them at the same time. I can't wait for Summer Celebration!). Wew! That's gotta be the longest parenthetical section ever written in a comment.

Praise God!!!!

Are the songs we'll be doing this year the new songs for Discovery Land, or different ones?

What do you guys going to sign up to be? I think I'll try to be an assistant coach or a lead encourager.

Sounds good to me! You'd be good at that, too. I think I might follow suit.

Dave said...

Uh.... I don't know what that means.

Elizabeth Kelley said...

To follow suit is to do the same thing. You know, like in cards, when someone plays a spade (or heart, club, diamond, whatever...) you are supposed to play something of the same suit? I think that's from whence that came.
