9 days and counting...(we are in the single digits folks)

Only 9 days!

Kids and volunteers. We have some surprises in store for you this year. I want to let you in on one of these giant surprises (I guess it's no longer a surprise then).

When you enter through the front doors on Monday July 9th you will be greeted by our wonderful volunteers and some pretty neat signs, one of which is the following attached to the drop wall near the ceiling.

This flag is 35 feet long 6 feet high. It will be attached to a pillar in the Lobby that has been designed to look like a tree trunk with the bark banner wrapped around the 23 feet tall pillar in the lobby (see if you can read some of the carved messages in the bark).

On the last day of the camp we can all sign the bark of the tree with our own messages from SC'07.

The next 9 days are going to go by fast. I'm looking forward to seeing each of you on the first day! I can hardly wait!!!

10 days and counting...

Yes folks, we will be in the single digits tomorrow. Sorry for the long delay with posting. Things are busier than ever (which is a good thing) making preparations for over 400 kids and getting 230 volunteers ready to serve our campers.

Breaking News..... Sunday, July 8th the Tree House Gang will help lead worship in the main meeting with Mr. Kauflin. This will be a real treat.

The Tree House Set will be on stage and all the signs will be up in the Lobby. We've created a sign that will wrap an entire pillar in the lobby and make it look like the trunk of a giant tree with wood carvings in it and a hole for our favorite "Squeever". The 8th will kinda be a Summer Celebration version of Youth Sunday.

What do you volunteers think about picking up your t-shirts at the welcome center that morning to wear them during the meeting?
