51 days and counting...

Introducing the first of five new songs we will sing and dance to at SC'07. The name of this song is "Thank You". And it fits perfectly with our theme day 1 on Gratitude.

Day 1 of the camp (just 51 days a way, that's 1224 hours if your counting hours like me) we will learn that Gratitude is letting others know you see how they have helped you. We will take a close look at what God's Word has to say about Gratitude from 1 Thessalonians 5:18.



Thanks to Rakel Boisvert and Kristen Darnall, we have great hand motions and dance to accompany our singing.

The Tree House Gang will be busy the next 7 weeks learning these new songs and hand motions to lead you in.

52 days and counting...

and already 322 kids have signed up. Praise God! Please pray that we will reach our 500 camper limit this year. We want to see as many kids benefit from the teaching and application as possible (plus it's really fun). Registration will close June 16th if we do not reach 500 before then.

Hey Volunteers: I hold in my left hand the positions we have assigned for you all this year. YEAH!!!

Miss Pavich and I spent nearly 2 hours placing you all. For nearly every person we were able to fit you into a role that you requested.

Sometime during this next week you should receive a email letting you know how you can best serve at Summer Celebration 2007. Exciting stuff!

Kids, I'd want you to know that these volunteers are THE BEST! I can't wait for you to meet them just a short 53 days from now.

At SC'06 wristbands were handed out as a way to "honor what God honors" in awarding kids with a "Faithfulness Wristband" (Patience, Kindness, Compassion and Endurance Wristbands).

How can we improve the wristbands and make sure the kids know why this was awarded to them?

I'm thinking we need to have wristbands available for each camper. Your thoughts?

What have you done for your mother to thank her on this Mother's Day? It's not too late.

Last week in 2nd-5th grade Discovery Land we made cards with construction paper, crayons, and stickers to thank our moms for specific things.
