67 comments and counting...

That's the number of comments you all posted on the volunteer's t-shirt color. Thank you all for your thoughts and ideas related to this.

After the survey results and comments were in I had the difficult task of weighing the pros and cons of yellow and gray.

Ultimately a tradition that you all started helped me make a definitive decision that I believe most if not all of us will enjoy.

The tradition of shirt signing was established two years ago on the final day of the camp. A gray shirt would make this tradition next to impossible. Because of this I went on a search for the perfect shade of yellow/gold for the volunteer shirt. I didn't realize that there were that many shades of the yellow out there for t-shirts. Well after about the 12th store, I was able to find a shade of yellow that I believe just about everyone will be happy with and allow for our tradition of shirt signing to continue (Guys, don't worry. It's a manly shade of yellow).

I really believe this is the best camp shirt to date. The good news is that Summer Celebration is so much more than a t-shirt, sign, cool lights, video, drama or games. It's about teaching kids God's character and their need for a Saviour. Praise God we will gather in one month to do just that, teach these kids eternal truth while we have tons of fun.

Thank you all so much for your example as servants!
Mr. B

I dunno... are there "girly" shades of yellow? I never thought of yellow being either a manly or a girly colour...

I think that yellow is yellow. There is nothing special about it:)

My thoughts exactly.

okay. (sniff) i don't think grey is a hard color to write on at all, you'd just have to do a light shade of grey. But i guess yellow is okay... i guess. :) rach

HA! First time I said something and someone agreed on it:)

Yay! Thanks Mr.B! Not only for choosing yellow (which is the color I was hoping for) but more importantly for ALL the work that you have put into SC! We are ALL very grateful, regardless of what color we might have wanted (right everybody?).

Y'all have NOOOOOO idea how excited I am for SC!!!

oh well... it can't hurt to try, huh? maybe Mr. B didn't really decide and he's just seeing how we'll react... LOL! You never know... ;)

Both are good. But i think gray would be good.

even though I would rather yellow this isn't about the color of our T-shirts guys its about serving the kids, showing them the love of Christ, and teaching them how they can shine for God so no matter what it looks like we should still be grateful and remember the reason we are really here for (which is not cool shirts even though thats always a plus :)but I do have to say the shirts look pretty cool and thank you SO much Mr. B for all the hard work you put into these shirts(picking out the colors, and the designs etc) but not only that but also for all the work you are doing to make this camp possible!!!!!! we are very grateful for you
even if we don't prefer the color choice, but hey you can't please everyone! ;)

If you could, then this world might be easier... :P

Rachel, if this was Brew and not Mr. Bradshaw, I could believe it... Brew likes doing stuff like that just to freak us out.

27 and counting! It's getting closer, guys!

Oh, i love it so much!!! i love how the sun is brown and that the yellow is darker, that way it kida works for people w/ light skin, and the guys won't mind as much.

I would also like to add my voice in saying thank you to Mr. B, with out him, (and Miss Pavich) the camp would be really hard to pull off. Thanks for all that you do, and have done!!!
