I like the gray! Alot of people don't really look good in yellow, like myself. So I love the gray!
Well, I don't really care I think both are good.
Go with yellow guys! esp. if you if you like people signing your shirt, etc.
And yellow is so much more fun and exciting than grey. (so what if you never wear it again? this is for the kids!)

Does it have to be dark grat? Do we have the ability to do a heatherish color? Cause then we could still write on it -- I agree with Chris -- but most of us won't do much with yellow ever again. Thanks, anonymous. ;-)
The yellow is really fun. And it would be easer for a kid to spot us. If yellow is not your color that is ok...you would not have to wear it again anyhow. I vote yellow!!!
On the other hand the gray is really cool by itself, and i could see people wearing them outside of SC. But i really like the yellow better 'casue it stands out so much. Plus if you have people signing it then it really doesn't matter what color the shirt is because no one really looks at the color just what was written on the shirt. hmmm...

My reasons to vote gray:
1. White on yellow = hard to read.
2. White on gray = easy to read.
3. Too many "hot" colors (orange, red, yellow) will actually make people feel warmer than they really are - don't laugh; it's true. Inside this may be a good thing, but outside it definitely won't and I'd rather be cold than hot. And gray won't get that hot; especially if the shirt is made with a light cloth.
4. Gray sets us apart from the kids and makes us easier to find.
5. Gray is a guy and girl color.
6. Yellow is NOT a guy and girl color. If you disagree, ask yourself how many guys you've seen wearing yellow of their own free will. Now ask yourself how many guys you've seen wearing gray.
7. Gray, Red, Blue, Green and Orange make a good combination.
8. Yellow, Red, Blue, Green and Orange do not.
9. We've never done gray for Summer Celebration before. Ever.
10. The orange hands around the sun are hard to see on the yellow shirt.
11. The orange hands are easy to see on the gray shirt.
I probably have more reasons but that's all I can think of right now.

umm i like either.. but i think if ppl want to sign others shirts.. i kinda have to go with the yellow... even though it is not my personal favorite! the gray is awesome, and the white letters stand out alot more... the only thing is if we are outside it is gonna get super hot! you dark colors attract the sun :) i think yellow is a lighter more vibrent color! i like both i just think the yellow would be more comfortable for those who dont like to get so hot in the sun! hehe

Ooh, I just did the survey and it gave the option of voting for a different color other than grey and yellow! I vote for the same color T-shirt as the band!

I agree with John. Gray is much cooler than yellow, although yellow does stand out more. GO GRAY!
Grey. Yellow would look too much like a team color. Grey wouldn't because it is a different type of color. (like the white last year)
I agree though that if light grey is an option it would be better than dark grey. Or a really dark (almost black) grey could be cool too. :)

Mr. B, just to sum it up, here's the reuslts so far:
Grey: 15 votes (or so)
Yellow: 4 votes (or so)
Grey got aprox 70%, while Yellow got aprox 30%.
Hope that isn't TOO confusing!
Hmmm...that is a really hard one. I don't really like the color yellow, because first of all, it doesn't look good on most people. Also, it would look like a camper shirt. With green, orange, red, and blue, yellow would look just like another team.
On the other hand, gray is pretty cool, but somehow it doesn't really match with all the SC stuff. SC is supposed to be bright (shine!) but gray is just...bla.
Couldn't we have maybe a completely different color? Green is nice, although it is already taken. And not purple. There's always brown, isn't there? Of course, it isn't very bright either, but if you get the right color it would look like the tree trunk of the tree house.
So basically, I vote "other". I don't know what color that could be yet, but I don't like either gray or yellow, so I think we should do something different. Like brown.

gray all the way...but maybe a little lighter shade of it perhaps...that way it's not too hot for us outside and it's easier to get signatures. I agree with nick, grey would "set us apart" from the kids more than it would with yellow..i choose gray
Please do yellow! Everyone, please consider all the reasons yellow would be good (not just from me but from others too)! Grey is boring, drab (imagine a room full of grey t-shirts... that's not very invigourating), grown-up (this is a kids camp), warmer (I don't know what you guys are talking about when you say that braight colors are hot! it is scientifically proven that dark colors, such as grey, ABSORB the sun, which is only good if you're paranoid about not getting sunburn!), and, very much disagreeing with what Nick said (sorry, Nick) grey looks horrible with those shades of red, blue, green, and orange! Grey just seems totally out of place!
True, yellow doesn't look good on everybody, but neither does grey (but does it even matter anyway? It's a KIDS CAMP; serving the KIDS!).
Grey can be cool, but only in certain places. For the youth ministry (our very own activities) or the singles ministry I would probably support grey. But this is SOOOOOO different!
Yellow definately gives a more exciting, and fun atomosphere which is important for a KIDS CAMP!!! Also think about "Shining" what color do you think of? Grey is certainly one of the LAST color I would think of.
So far the only worth while reasons that I've seen for grey (other than just personal opinions, which I can definately accept) is that it makes us stand out from the kids (I think that wouldn't be to hard to do anyway since we are twice their size), uh and... that's about it!
Sorry, I hope I don't sound criticle or self-righteous! These are my opinions (there is much room for disagreement with me!) and I think that we could serve the kids better if we had yellow (meaning, they would like it better).

Um... definitely gray.
Maybe yellow looks bright and exciting, but it makes half the people who wear it look sick.
Gray (light, dark, whatever) looks good on anyone, and people wouldn't mind wearing it after the camp.
And it's not like having gray shirts would drown out the bright colors there anyway. There are actually about twice as many kids as volunteers, so the bright colors would stand out no matter what color shirt the helpers wore.
Gray also looks 'in control' instead of little kiddish. It would make us much easier to locate than if we had on yellow, which looks like a separate team.
So yeah... VOTE GRAY!!!

And, Ephesians are green! Philippians are orange... they have been changing the colors of the teams (with the exception of Galatians!) for the past three years! I think it would be good to keep one team the same color all years...

I think that the colors we have are fine. But the "old" colors were great!!!I think that we should have the band's color.
Ya know how every one keeps saying, "It will be easer for people to see us" umm... if you think about it, there is gunna be like what 100-150+ people serving, all wearing the same shirts. I don't think that we will be "lost in the crowd". : )
Yellow. Its been very humid these past two weeks. Think about how hot it will be in July. You don't want people to be fainting because they have to wear stuffy gray shirts.(Even though I like the way gray looks more). And, going off of what sarah said, most of us are taller than the kids- add to that everyone wearing the same color, and kids won't find it that hard to spot us.

Don't make it really dark though. Having the same color shirts as the band wouldn't work, because it's too close to the Philippians' shirts. It's okay for the band, but not the rest of us. (In my lowly opinion! :D )

At the old celebration,
Galations was red
Ephesians was orange
Philippians was green
Colossians was purple
And at summer celebration,
Galations has pretty much always been blue
Ephesians has been either yellow or orange
Philippians was green, I think
Colossians was blue? or red?
So basically, the team colors (G - blue, E - orange, P - green, C - R) are right. But the volunteers should DEFINITELY have gray. No question about it.

I think that even if this year the colors are different that the previous years, the teams need to stay that color 'forever' then. Like, take note of it and make sure that they will be the same colors next year.

ok, so I talked to a bunch of friends who are helping out in SC'07 and we wanted to make a suggestion that the colors for Summer Celebration be the same as the ones from the original Celebration we all know and loved.
it goes like this:
Galations: RED
Colossians: (which was Romans) BLUE
Philipians: ORANGE
Ephesians: GREEN
:)
